If You Don’t Have Anything Nice to Say…

I’ve had an onslaught of rude attorneys I have worked with lately. It’s really disheartening and sad for me to see attorneys responding to fellow lawyers in a rude, demeaning or patronizing way.

Real estate law is unique in that we are not adversarial. Both parties are trying to get to the same goal, which is a purchase and sale of a home. One of my main goals as a real estate attorney is to advocate for my client, without being rude or demeaning. Attorneys sometimes forget that we are all colleagues in a stressful job, and will tend to take their frustrations out on each other.

Let’s try to be nicer to each other.
