Rachell is a native Minnesotan who has lived in Chicago since 1996. She is a licensed attorney and also a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois. She attended Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in Winona, Minnesota and has a double B.A. in Criminal Justice and English:Writing.

She obtained her J.D. at Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago in 2000 and she has been licensed to practice law since 2001. Her law firm was established in 2004. She has worked for a boutique law firm, a dot.com and a major Chicago real estate developer. She and her husband Pete were also Chicago landlords of an owner-occupied a three flat building for over sixteen years.

She has been a guest on WGN’s Legal Face Off podcast, the Trial by Vinyl podcast and has been previously been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Crain’s Chicago and the Chicago RedEye magazine.

Rachell has been married since 2000 to Pete, who she met while attending Saint Mary’s. They have two children, Angie and Violet. They also have a Boxer/Rottweiler mix named Willow.
